Dear Sir,
At the place I work there are many foreigners from different countries. They do the same job, but the people from Korea are paid less than the staff from western countries. This is discrimination, isn`t it. What do you think of this? I hear there is now a union in Fukuoka for foreigners.

Dear Sir,
A large part of the economy of Noko depends on the trickle down factor from visitors to Island Park. People can`t come to Noko if they don`t have anywhere to park their cars. With both car parks at the Meinohama Port still having major cracks that limit the capacity of the car parks, everything is stalled between the "full and detailed investigation" stage and preparing budgets. The nanohana season is just about finished and no action has been taken. Island visitor numbers should peak in May but if no repairs are made to the car parks it will be economically difficult for island families.

Dear Readers
May 27-29th, 1905 (one hundred years ago), is a landmark in world history. The Japanese Navy destroyed the Russian Baltic Fleet in waters near Kyushu. This event greatly stimulated the fall of the Russian Czar.
George Maeda.
