Ferry "Taiko" from Fukuoka, (9 hour cruise!) or Jetfoil/ferry from Nagaski, or fly - all to Fukue, on Fukue Island.

Youth Hostel at MIIRAKU (30min/car from FUKUE Port) or hotel in FUKUE.

MOVE
Car rental ¥18,000/3 days. Scooters ¥6000/3 days from Fukue port. Cyclable - just.

DO
Fabulous swimming beach at Takahama. Scuba diving. If it rains, there is a nice museum in Fukue and an onsen just outside the town.

EAT
Sashimi is cheap and fresh. GOTO beef is famous. We recommend a WINE and SASHIMI party on the beach as the sun sets.

Churches - there are 55 in the archipelago. Many churches overlook the sea, facing the sunset...

SEE
Tamanoura Lighthouse - picturesque and marks Japan`s most westerly point.
